Caddisfly Adult

You can’t miss a caddisfly hatch. These insect hatch by the thousands, typically late in the evening, and can be seen bouncing vigorously around the edge of a river bank.

A fish will often sit in the same position in a river and can be seen continuously slurping caddisflies as they drop to the surface of the water in front of them. A well-presented fly to these fish can make for an exciting end to a day on the water.
