Mayfly Nymph

Mayflies spend the vast majority of their life in the nymph stage and are a main piece of a fishes diet. It’s always a good idea to speak with a local fly shop to determine which species of mayfly resides in the waters you will be fishing and then plan your fly section and presentation strategy to align with the type of mayfly nymph.

There are four main types of mayfly nymphs: swimmings, clingers, burrowers, and crawlers.
